Free Time + New Car = Updates
So I got a hybrid this week, after not having a working car for a few weeks. Now I can go to places off the mass-transit and out of walking distance.
Yesterday I went to Sutro Baths. The only bare spot was along the repaired stairway from the Merrie way parking lot. Nothing but large stretches of sand left there. Our invasive friends the iceplants were still around in other parts of the ruins. They did finally get rid of the neon orange fencing and put real fencing along the borders. So yea, it still looks nice. No word on the origin of the previously-mentioned skulls though.
Today I went to Colma with my sibling, who took pictures. Articles on the city of the dead are forthcoming. No there isn’t an attraction called ‘The City of the Dead.’ silly. Notice how it was lowercase? Colma just has more dead people than live people. I don’t know how many undead they have, but I didn’t see any garlic fries for sale anywhere….
