Icelandic Phallological Museum
![]() |
I visited this place when it was in ReykjavÃk, but now it is on the other side of the island. The museum has the phalluses of most of the native and non-native animals of Iceland, including specimens from huldufolk, or elves. Having all the large (as in whales) specimens at eye-level was a bit disconcerting. The proprietor was very nice and eager for a chat, which can be disconcerting as well depending on how comfortable one is in discussing anatomy with strangers.
I’d appreciate any information from anyone who has been to the new location.
